Meet Your Coach, Jessi
My journey into fitness began in 2015 through playing sports, but what truly hooked me was the challenge and confidence I found through strength training. The gym quickly became my outlet, a space where I learned discipline, resilience, and what it meant to push my limits. That passion led me to compete in my first bodybuilding show in 2016 and later become a certified personal trainer through NASM in 2017.
When I first started working in gyms, I noticed a pattern among the women I coached (and honestly, in myself too). We were all chasing smaller… smaller bodies, smaller meals, smaller versions of ourselves. We were terrified to eat more, convinced carbs were the enemy, and worried building muscle would somehow make us “too masculine.”
And even with all that effort? Most of us didn’t feel good. I didn’t either. I was under-eating, over-training, lost my period, confused about my hormones, and constantly questioning my body. I thought I was doing everything “right,” but I felt disconnected, exhausted, and anything but confident.
That season shifted everything for me. I didn’t want to just get fit, I wanted to understand my body. I wanted to feel strong, confident, and actually healthy, not just smaller. And I wanted to help other women do the same.
So in 2019, I went back to school. I earned my Bachelor’s in Nutrition, then my Master’s in Nutrition & Dietetics. I completed over 1,000 hours of clinical training and focused my graduate research on women’s nutrition and fertility.
And through all of it, one thing became crystal clear:
Women deserve better education about our bodies, hormones, and health. We deserve to know how to fuel ourselves, how our cycles work, and how to train without burning out.
That’s why I created StrongHER Health and do this work. To help women stop shrinking themselves and start building strength, confidence, and a relationship with their body that feels empowering, not punishing.
